Before Your Appointment

Before your appointment, our friendly receptionists will send you a new patient pack containing all of the relevant information you need prior to your first visit. You may be required to get x-rays taken prior to your first appointment so that a more thorough diagnosis of the jaws and teeth can take place.

No referral is necessary for your first appointment with us, however if you have received a referral don’t forget to bring it with you.

Prepare for your appointment by flossing and brushing your teeth thoroughly. Our friendly team is happy to answer any questions you may have, so come prepared with any questions, concerns or goals for your treatment.

During Your Appointment

On your arrival, you will be greeted by our friendly reception team. During your visit, we will review your X-rays, take orthodontic photographs, and if required, a digital bite scan to assess your teeth and bite. At your first visit, you will meet one of our friendly orthodontists who will work through any questions your may have:

  1. Do I need orthodontic treatment?
  2. What are your treatment options?
  3. When is the best time to start treatment?
  4. How much will treatment cost?
  5. How long is the treatment likely to take?
  6. How will my treatment impact my day to day activities?

If orthodontic treatment is recommended, we will discuss the estimated treatment length and fees associated with our services. Appointments to begin your treatment can also be scheduled at this time.

After Your Appointment

After your visit, you will receive a written report with a summary of our recommendations and a treatment plan. A letter will also be sent to your dentist, and we will schedule your next appointment in line with your individual treatment plan.

If no treatment is recommended, you may be placed on a recall list and the orthodontist will monitor growth and development. You may also be given specific instructions to complete at home following your appointment depending on your individual treatment plan.
